Les th\u00e8ses sont organis\u00e9es par grandes \u00e9poques historiques, et sont ensuite class\u00e9es par date de soutenance, auteur et aire g\u00e9ographique concern\u00e9e. Un tableau statistique est disponible \u00e0 la fin du document, afin d\u2019observer les grandes tendances. Ce travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce aux donn\u00e9es disponibles sur les sites Ethos (British Library) ; South African National ETD Portal ; Library and Archives Canada ; OATD (Open Access Thesis and Dissertations) ; NDTLD Global ETD Search et New Zealand research.\n\nThis database lists a large number of English-language PhD in History, on the Arabian Peninsula (349 PhD), defended between 1963 and 2020. The PhD are organized by major historical periods, and are then classified by date of defense, author and geographical area. A statistical table is available at the end of the document, in order to observe the main trends. Its purpose was to host archaeological missions and social science researchers working on the territory of the former Yemen Arab Republic.<br \/><br \/>Renamed the French Center for Archeology and Social Sciences of Sanaa (CEFAS) in 2001, its area of expertise has expanded, occasionally welcoming students and researchers also working in neighboring countries. In 2002, the agreements established between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) strengthened its scientific base by allowing the assignment of personnel from this institution and the creation of a mixed unit Services and Research (USR 3141).<br \/><br \/>In 2013, at the initiative of its supervisory bodies, CEFAS became a regional institute with jurisdiction over all the countries of the Arabian Peninsula (United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Republic of Yemen, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Sultanate of Oman).<br \/><br \/>In 2016, an agreement between the Kuwaiti authorities and the MEAE enabled the opening of a Kuwait City branch.<br \/><br \/>In 2021, CEFAS becomes the French Center for Research in the Arabian Peninsula (CEFREPA)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6f3c92e elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-stretched elementor-section-content-middle elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"6f3c92e\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;stretch_section&quot;:&quot;section-stretched&quot;,&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-2a930a5 elementor-invisible\" data-id=\"2a930a5\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-settings=\"{&quot;animation&quot;:&quot;fadeInLeft&quot;,&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0eb0229 elementor-widget elementor-widget-loquet-heading-widget\" data-id=\"0eb0229\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"loquet-heading-widget.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"gt-module-title gt-style-1 gt-align-left gt-light\"><div class=\"gt-title\">RESEARCH AT CEFREPA<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e8baaf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e8baaf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCEFREPA aims to initiate, coordinate and support the work of researchers and students in the human and social sciences as well as in archeology throughout the Arabian Peninsula, in coordination with institutions and research teams in France and Europe, and the institutions of countries of competence.<\/br>\n\n<strong>A place of research training<\/strong><\/br>\n\nThrough a mobility aid program, CEFREPA provides support to students enrolled in a Masters 2 or PhD in a French or European university, to enable them to carry out research projects in the countries of the Arabian Peninsula. It also welcomes student interns. CEFREPA can possibly facilitate the stay of students wishing to follow intensive sessions or annual Arabic language courses given by local institutions.\n<\/br>\n<strong>A place of cooperation<\/strong>\n<\/br>\nCEFREPA collaborates, in the form of partnerships and research programs, with university institutions and research centers, both in France and in Europe and in the countries of the Arabian Peninsula.<\/br>\n\n<strong>A documentary resource center<\/strong>\n<\/br>\nIn Sanaa, CEFREPA had a library of nearly 9,000 volumes, collections of scientific journals, collections of daily newspapers and periodicals, as well as a map library focusing mainly on Yemen. Since the Center in Yemen was put on standby, this documentary fund, which is kept in boxes, is no longer accessible.\n<\/br>\nCEFREPA also has a library in Kuwait City containing a thousand books, reviews and newspapers mainly on the archeology and ancient and recent history of the Arabian Peninsula. This collection is being enriched<strong>.<\/strong>\n<\/br>\n<strong>A knowledge dissemination center<\/strong>\n<\/br>\nCEFREPA publishes works in paper and\/or electronic format in European languages \u200b\u200band Arabic, most often in co-edition in Middle Eastern countries or in France. He works on the OpenEdition platform\n<\/br>\n(<a href=\"http:\/\/books.openedition.org\/cefas\/?lang=fr\">http:\/\/books.openedition.org\/cefas\/?lang=fr<\/a>).\n<\/br>\nCEFREPA also publishes journals in order to promote the work carried out there and participate in the renewal of knowledge in its fields of competence:\n<\/br>\nThe journal Chroniques Y\u00e9m\u00e9nites was published between 1993 and 2013. Now fully digitized, it is available online (<a href=\"https:\/\/cy.revues.org\/201\">https:\/\/cy.revues.org\/201<\/a>).\n<\/br>\nCreated in 2006, Chronicles of the manuscript in Yemen is a journal devoted to the study of manuscripts from Yemen. Until 2014 it was published by CEFREPA and distributed exclusively online (<a href=\"https:\/\/cmy.revues.org\/\">https:\/\/cmy.revues.org\/<\/a>).\n<\/br>\nArabian Humanities succeeded, in 2013, the Yemeni Chronicles. This multilingual peer-reviewed journal (French, English and Arabic) is published exclusively online (<a href=\"http:\/\/cy.revues.org\/2008\">http:\/\/cy.revues.org\/2008<\/a>) with the support of the CNRS InSHS.
